Yolo County Jail Roster Overview
The official Sheriff's online route for Yolo County inmate records is the Booking Statistics page. The Sheriff's navigation label "See Who's Been Booked in Jail?" points there. Research did not locate a live public roster that lets a user search by name, booking number, facility, or housing unit. The Booking Statistics page posts monthly pressboard PDFs for Sheriff's arrests, and the page says past week's arrest reports filed by the Sheriff's Office can be viewed on the Press Board in the Monroe Detention Center lobby.
This matters for anyone trying to find someone in Yolo County jail. The monthly pressboard can help identify a recent Sheriff's arrest, but it does not prove the person is still in custody. It also may not include city-police or campus-police records in the same way. For current custody, call Monroe Detention Center / Monroe Records at (530) 668-5245, use California VINE for custody notification, or check court records once charges are filed.
Use Yolo County Inmate Records
A practical Yolo County jail roster search follows the actual access chain documented by the Sheriff's Office. The first step is online because the Booking Statistics page is public and free. The next steps are phone and in-person channels because the online record is a monthly PDF, not a live inmate locator. The court and state locators become important after arraignment, sentencing, transfer, or a hold from another agency.
- Open the Sheriff's Booking Statistics page and check the current monthly PDF links.
- Search the PDF visually for the person's name, arrest date, arrest location, or charges.
- Call Monroe Records at (530) 668-5245 when current custody, release, housing, bail, or visiting status matters.
- Use the Monroe lobby Press Board for the past week's Sheriff's arrest reports if the PDF is not current enough.
- Search Yolo Superior Court after filing to find case numbers, hearing dates, and filed charges.
For a person sentenced to state prison, use CDCR CIRIS instead of the Yolo Sheriff's pressboard. For federal sentenced custody, use the BOP inmate locator. For immigration detention, use ICE ODLS.
Yolo County Roster Search Fields
The Sheriff's pressboard channel has a search-field table because the lack of fields is itself important. A reader should not waste time looking for a missing name box or booking-number filter on the Sheriff's Booking Statistics page. The searchable fields are available later in the Yolo Superior Court portal, CDCR CIRIS, BOP, or ICE, not on the Sheriff's monthly PDF page.
| Field Label | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| None | n/a | n/a | The Sheriff's page is a monthly PDF link list, not a public roster form. |
| Name | PDF table | n/a | Shown as last, first, and sometimes middle name or initial. |
| Arrest Date | PDF table | n/a | Arrest date in the monthly pressboard. |
| Location of Arrest | PDF table | n/a | Address, road, community, or agency location. |
| Charges | PDF table | n/a | Arrest charge codes and warrant notes. |
Yolo County Inmate Profile Fields
A Yolo County public pressboard entry is thinner than a modern jail roster profile. It can help connect an arrest to a date and charge list, but it omits many fields families often seek. Use Monroe Records for live custody, VINE for notification, and Yolo Superior Court for filed charges, hearings, and case copies.
| Field | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Name | Last name, first name, and sometimes middle name or initial. |
| Arrest Date | The date of arrest in the Sheriff's monthly pressboard. |
| Location of Arrest | Street, road, city, community, or agency location for the arrest. |
| Charges | Code citations and warrant notes, which may differ from final filed charges. |
| Booking Number | Not shown in the public PDF. |
| Custody Status | Not shown; verify through Monroe Records or VINE. |
| Mugshot | Not shown; see Yolo County jail mugshots for photo limits. |
Yolo County Jail Facilities
Yolo County's adult inmate records are centered on Monroe and Leinberger. Monroe is the main adult holding and booking facility. Leinberger is a second adult Sheriff's detention facility with a strong programming and replacement-facility history. The juvenile facility is included in the facility map but is not part of the adult jail roster because the county describes it as a temporary detention and treatment facility for minors.

Booking Process in Yolo County
After an arrest by a Yolo County law-enforcement agency, adults are generally transported to Monroe Detention Center for booking, processing, and housing. The Records Section is located at Monroe and supports detention, patrol, transportation, court security, detectives, work programs, civil, boats, and coroner functions. Because detention is a 24-hour operation, records personnel also handle calls and administrative lines after hours, on weekends, and on holidays.
New bookings may not appear in public court calendars right away. Yolo Superior Court says most in-custody defendants are placed on the calendar the morning of court and may not appear on the public court calendar. In-custody arraignments are Monday through Friday at 1:30 p.m. in Department 1. For charges filed after booking, use the court portal or the Criminal Division rather than relying on pressboard charge codes.
Yolo County Jail Visitation
The Sheriff's visitation page lists in-person non-contact visiting and video visiting. Visits must be scheduled through Monroe Records at (530) 668-5245. Visitors should arrive 30 minutes early with valid government-issued photo ID or a passport. Late arrivals are canceled, and the Sheriff's visiting rules sharply limit what can be brought into the facility.
| Visit Type | Schedule | Scheduling |
|---|---|---|
| In-person non-contact | Seven days a week, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. | Call Monroe Records; first come, first served. |
| Video visitation | Monday-Friday, 7:30 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. | Call Monroe Records; no Saturday or Sunday video visits. |
| Family visiting | Sundays by pod/classification schedule | Approved visitor calls Monroe and selects options 1, 1, 5. |
Yolo County Jail Mail and Money
Yolo County jail mail rules are detailed and should be followed closely. Incoming mail must show the sender name and return address on the front of the envelope and the inmate's full booking name. Legal mail is opened and inspected in the inmate's presence. USPS money orders and U.S. government checks are allowed under the mail policy, but personal checks, currency, stamps, stickers, blank envelopes, hardback books without approval, Polaroids, coated photos, and contraband are rejected.

Request Yolo County Inmate Records
The Sheriff's Crime Desk handles crime-report requests generated by Sheriff's deputies and animal services officers. Requests must be written, and the office asks for as much detail as possible: report number, date and time, location, incident type, and names of involved parties. The public counter at Monroe accepts report requests seven days a week from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.; the Crime Desk itself responds Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The Sheriff's listed fee is $15 per report copy, with added fees if a report exceeds 20 pages. Mailed or out-of-state requests must include a copy of state-issued ID. Cash or check is accepted, payable to the Yolo County Sheriff's Office, and debit or credit cards are not accepted. If no releasable report is found, payment is returned.
Yolo County State and Federal Lookup
Yolo County inmate records stop being local once a person is committed to state prison or moved into a federal or immigration system. CDCR CIRIS can show a CDCR number, age, current location, commitment county, admitted date, and parole-related fields, but CDCR says it is informational only and may contain errors or omissions. BOP covers federal prisoners from 1982 to present. ICE ODLS is used for immigration detention and is not a mugshot gallery.
| System | Search Fields | Use When |
|---|---|---|
| CDCR CIRIS | Disclaimer, CDCR number, last name, first name, middle name. | Sentenced state-prison transfer from Yolo County. |
| BOP locator | Register/DCDC/FBI/INS number or first, middle, last, race, age, sex. | Federal sentenced custody. |
| ICE ODLS | A-number/country of birth or biographical search. | Immigration detention. |
| VINELink | Custody search and notification setup. | Custody-status notification for victims and families. |
Note: Confirm custody with Monroe before sending money, scheduling a visit, or relying on a monthly PDF entry.
